Yoga, Ninja Warrior, Bushcraft and even Rock Paper Scissors were just some of the activities children at Park Road Community Primary School could get up to on their special end of term PE Day.

A number of different sport provides visited the school this week to put on a array of sporting activities for the children to take part in throughout the day.

The children from all years had great fun tackling the Ninja Warrior course which involved jumping through and over obstacles as well as scaling climbing ropes.

In the Bushcraft area children could learn more about outdoor fires and make their own willow creations.

Basketball enthusiasts found their stride in another corner of the playground where the children dribbled and practiced their skills under the guidance of coaches.

Strategic thinking was put to the test with games of Rock Paper Scissors. The children faced off against their friends, trying to outsmart each other with quick thinking and mind games.

And after all that fast paced exercise, it was time for the children to find their inner peace during a soothing and meditative Yoga session. Guided by an experienced instructor, they stretched, breathed deeply, and practiced mindfulness, bringing calmness to their minds and bodies after an eventful day.

Kathryn Mills, the school’s PE Lead, said: “It was such a great day, and despite the weather, all the children were able to experience a number of different sports, hobbies and activities.  Thank you to everyone who helped on the day.”

Well done everyone!
