Applications for places in Year 1 through to Year 6 and Reception (In-year transfers)

If you are looking to transfer your child from one school to another mid-year or are relocating to the local area you must firstly apply through Warrington Borough Council with your application request.  More information can be found on their Moving Schools Page here.

We understand that the transition to a new educational environment can be both exciting and daunting for children and their families. Rest assured, our dedicated team is committed to making this transition as seamless as possible. Once you have been offered a place, we will be in direct contact with you to provide all the necessary guidance and support needed to ensure your child's smooth integration into our school community. From orientation sessions, introductions to teachers and fellow pupils, we are here to ensure that your child feels welcomed, supported, and ready to embark on their educational journey with confidence and enthusiasm.

Omega Multi-Academy Trust is the admissions authority for Park Road Community Primary School and allocates places with their determined admissions arrangements.  Warrington Borough Council is responsible for co-ordinating all of our admissions.

Open Days/ School Visits: dates to be published in September 2024

This year we will be holding our Open Days during school hours again.  To ensure that you have the best experience when visiting our school, we will be limiting the number of adults on each tour to 4 (there is no limit on the number of children).

It is important that you book a place by emailing the school office (office@parkroadprimary.co.uk) and that you arrive promptly at the tour start time.  To allow us to book your visit, please could you provide us with your name, your child's name, a contact telephone number, preferred date and time slot as well as the number of adults attending (a maximum of 2 adults per booking).  Please let us know if you are unable to make one of the dates and we can look at alternatives for you.

Prospective Parents

Prior to the admission process being implemented parents can register their interest in gaining a place at Park Road by contacting the school office - please forward your child's name, date of birth, address, your name and your contact number (our email address is office@parkroadprimary.co.uk).  We can then use this information to keep you up to date.

Starting at Park Road Community Primary School

Once places have been allocated, we will invite the children and parents to a welcome meeting and will plan a number of visits for the children in school before the summer holidays.  Weather permitting, we will also hold a Teddy Bears' Picnic for the current Reception class and the new starters so that new parents have a chance to chat to the teachers, current parents and, of course, the current Reception children themselves!

The children will start school part time for the first week or so in September, more details to follow. The main emphasis for the Foundation Stage is to learn through play and we have lots of lovely activities to help them develop.
