Reception and Year 1 children found out more about their local church and what happens there during a special trip.
During the outing to St Mary’s Church from Park Road Community Primary School the Reverend Jeremy Tear talked to the pupils about why the church is special and what we can celebrate there, such as christenings, weddings, funerals, Christmas and Easter.
As part of their visit the children also got the chance to explore the church and locate significant items to answer quiz questions.
The children had a great time taking their learning outside the classroom and finding out more about their local church.
