Here at Park Road, each class from Year 1 to Year 6 has their own Class Pet. Year 5's pets are our chickens and the photograph shows our twins and Bob (the cockerel). Unfortunately, Bob had to move homes to a lovely small holding over near Stretton because he was a bit too loud for our neighbours! We still have the twins and they love wandering around the grounds with Ginger. They had lovely dust baths in the polytunnel at the weekend (if you are a parent at the school, you can see this on our private Facebook page).
The twins and Bob were extra special because they were actually hatched in our Reception class about a year and a half ago. We were hoping to have more chicks this year but unfortunately, Covid-19 meant we couldn't hatch any eggs - fingers crossed that we get the chance next spring!
