Reception children transformed into intrepid explorers during a day of nature-filled adventures at Delamere Forest.

The young explorers from Park Road Community Primary School followed the guidance of forest experts to take part in a series of activities that encouraged creative thinking and provided a chance for them to learn more about the natural world.

During the day, the children made imaginative dens and shelters and got messy in the mud kitchen. There was also time to relax and enjoy the forest atmosphere in the reading area or on the swings and hammocks.

A highlight of the trip was creating miniature homes for dinosaurs!

What a great trip!
