The whole school community came together to prepare the grounds for Spring as part of this year’s Big Dig.

Park Road Community Primary School's pupils helped clear, plant, and tidy the outdoor spaces. Children of all ages took part in weeding, digging, and planting, working side by side to get the grounds ready for the summer.

Deputy Head Teacher Sophie Akinyemi said: “Our annual 'Big Dig' event was a huge success as usual. We all got outside to enjoy some gardening ensuring our flower beds are ready for planting in the Summer term. We even enjoyed a dinner time disco as part of a wonderful day.”

The Big Dig has become a key event, with last year’s efforts leading to a beautiful display of flowers and greenery in the summer term. The polytunnel and grounds are now all ready for the classes to create lovely displays.

Great work everyone!
